Eric Koston

When you trace the evolution of street skating from the days when single ledge tricks were acceptable part enders, to the unbelievable flip-in tricks being done by kids down handrails today, you'll see Eric Koston's name on every step along the way. Since turning pro in 1993, Koston's abilities have stood as the gold standard in skateboarding, leaving him with more than a handful of X-Games gold medals, in addition to best trick title-holder status on many recognizable skate spots, all while never seeming to take himself too seriously. Even when off his board, Koston has helped usher innovation in skateboarding through his dedicated approach to footwear design (as his mind has been behind several classic skate shoes), and by co-founding The Berrics with Steve Berra.
